Bipolar is a disorder where you have great eotaimnol swings form very excited to very depressed. This cycle may go on with in one day or over weeks. You may have sleeping problems with it. Sleeping too much or nt enough.When you are eotaimnolly way up you may do things that you would not normally do like spending a lot of money or getting into relationships that you should not be in.In the state of California bi polar disorder is considered a disability. Have no fear.I am here to tell you that there is help. I suffered for 20 yrs. I have been under a doctor's care for the past 8 years and I am finally well. I still take some meds but my life is 100% better.Clinical depression means that you are depressed due to some chemical imbalance. If you are trying to get your feelings under control there are things you can do .1. stop eating or drinking anything with sugar.2. stop eating junk food and get on a healthy food program3. get 8 hours of sleep each night.4. limit your time on video games and the cell phone5. get out and exercise6. stay away from a lot of starches like bread, cookies, chips etc.7. get 15-20 minutes of sun light each day.8. set a regular time to get up and go to sleep. Be in the bed by ten and get up by 7.,9. plan out your day. Have a plan of what yu are going to do each day. Make sure that you are occupied in a good way.10 Stay away from all drugs, alcohol, cigarettes.11. If you are under 18 keep yourself physically and eotaimnolly safe by saying no to sex or even making out. You can think much clearer and having sex does not mean someone loves or likes you.12.,eat three meals a day on regular times Breakfast at 7 lunch at 12 or near there and dinner between 5-7.13. eat two fruits and 8 ounces of vegetables every day. Don;t drink anymore than 6 ounces of fruit juice at anytime. 6 ounces equals one fruit. No sodas13. Get 15-20 minutes in the sun every day that yu can.You would be surprised at how food can affect your moods.Also stay away from negative people. Stay away from people who hurt you eotaimnoly or mentally.You may not be able to do all of these things at once. It can seem overwhelimg. Just try to do two of them for one month then add on two more the next monthI am hoping for good things for you.Bipolar is a combination of depression and mania(very high emotions)When you are manic you might feel that you can do anything and that you don't have to follow the rules.That is when you get hurt.I hope that if you need help there is some one to talk to.Take care Was this answer helpful?
